The Nonprofit Executive Alliance is comprised of over 150 non profit organizations across Broward, Miami Dade and Monroe counties. It is a social impact coalition of CEOs that advance leadership, strengthen local communities, and provide a unified voice for the sector.

As individual members, we develop vital knowledge and skills to amplify our mission and deepen our impact personally and professionally. Together, we raise public awareness of our collective power, engage stakeholders and enhance the communities in which we live, work, play and learn. We raise the profile of nonprofits as invaluable partners for the public and private sectors and the solution drivers addressing economic and community challenges. We are looking for a self motivated executive level individual to lead the Nonprofit Executive Alliance into its next phase. Membership growth and sponsorship sales will be a key element in this position.

Education: Bachelors degree from accredited institution.


Experience: Five years experience performing in an executive position in a nonprofit organization or five years experience performing in a for-profit organization coupled with an active record of volunteer service in nonprofit organizations. A demonstrated record of fundraising and resource development and strategic partnerships. Knowledge in nonprofit administration and management, nonprofit organization startup, membership and sponsorship sales and nonprofit membership organizations preferred but not required. Knowledge of the South Florida nonprofit community is critical.


Special Skills: Strong membership and sponsorship sales, planning, strategic and interpersonal skills, strong writing, organizational and selling skills are a must to succeed in this position. In addition he/she must be self-directed, results driven, energetic, highly organized, resourceful, dedicated, diplomatic and able to be "graceful under pressure" with the capacity of thinking strategically. Ability to relate well to many different stakeholder groups.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Executive Director

Compensation: $90-$100K

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY: To provide leadership for a rapidly growing organization, the Nonprofit Executive Alliance. This includes membership and sponsorship sales, strategic planning, governance, membership development, fundraising, program implementation, as well as policies and procedural tasks. Responsible to carry out the day to day administration of the organization in keeping with the mission and strategies established by the Board of Directors.

Together we improve our industry and make our community a better place to live, work, play and learn.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Operations and Leadership

  • Promote the culture of the NEA as the preemminent membership association for South

Florida nonprofit CEO’s and ED’s.

  • Develop or refine as needed in partnership with the President/CEO, the NEA’s planning and

strategy, organizational structure including committees, bylaws, identification of membership needs and services, as well as outcomes and evaluation systems.

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operation through decision making and authorization of expenditures within limits set by the Executive Board.
  • Negotiation, management and administration of all grants and contracts.
  • Management of all financial/fiscal matters including the development and administration of an annual operating budget and monthly financial reporting to the Board of Directors.
  • Attend networking events on behalf of Nonprofit Executive Alliance to increase membership and community visibility.
  • Identify opportunities to promote the Nonprofit Executive Alliance and its members.
  • Manage WildApricot database including events, website, contacts, financials and email.
  • Develop and implement annual regional nonprofit impact report.
  • Develop metrics and shared achievements.
  • Engage with NEA members to determine emerging needs, challenges and opportunities.
  • Promote NEA spaces and encourage collaboration through activation of NEA spaces.
  • Work with President/CEO and Board of Directors to implement strategic plan.
  • Work with Community Partners on shared initiatives that strengthen the sector.
  • Support affinity groups through membership, chair recruitment, develop agendas and meeting facilitation as needed.


Fundraising

  • Create and execute an aggressive program of membership and sponsorship sales. Including CEO membership, Preferred Consultants and Community Partners.
  • Responsible for initiating, developing and tracking all fundraising activities including research, grant writing, funder relation, membership dues, etc.
  • Develop and support membership base through creation of new initiatives and affinity groups.
  • Plan, develop and execute the organization’s marketing, public relations and media relations including creation and distribution of publications, news releases, public service announcements, social media, print/electronic media relations, interviews and placements.
  • Plan, develop and execute NEA socials and events in partnership with the NEA Socials committee.
  • Develop and promote marketing materials to include Annual Report.
  • Facilitate membership and committee meetings as needed; Identify, recruit and support
  • Affinity Group and committee leadership.
